Holy. Crap.

I LOVE MY NEW TRUCK!!!!

A good friend of mine works for a dealer and got me a SICK deal on an 08 Tundra Double Cab. I traded my 07 F-150 in, which I had for 2.5 months!, and haven't even thought about it twice. My friends all think I'm retarded because the F-150 was brand new (5 miles on it when I bought it) and I had it for such a short time and got the Tundra haha.

I've had it for a few days now and I *still* grin every time that garage door opens up and I see that white beast in the driveway. It's only a V6 but it seriously does perform like a small V8. The V6 I had in my F-150 was a joke, sooooo weak feeling compared to the Tundra's V6. My mom has a Crown Vic with a 4.6l V8 and I use to notice that little jump that the car would make if you barely pressed the gas, the power of the V8 basically...my F-150 didn't do that...my new Tundra does

I've been a Ford owner all my life (with the exception of one Corolla) and never thought I would buy a truck from anyone but Ford. I have converted though, as long as the Tundra stays in the right direction, Toyota has my money.

Congrats on the new truck! If I remember right, the Triton V8 only has 7 more HP than the Tundra's V6 (or am I mistaken?) Anyways, you'll love your new truck. I've had mine for 11k miles (since June) and I love it. The wife loves it more since she gets to drive it most of the time

Welcome to the boards

Thanks a ton man! Yeah it's only been a couple of days, but it only had 2 miles on it when I drove it off the lot and now it's got 250, haha. I drive around alot...but can you blame me with the ride I have?

2007+ Tundra:
4.0L V6 236 horsepower
4.7L V8 271 horsepower
5.7L V8 381 horsepower

2001-2002 Crown Vic:
4.6L V8 235* horsepower

*with dual-exhaust

And an interesting side-note...

2001-2002 Police Interceptor:
4.6L V8 250 horsepower

So, while my mom has the same engine in the same car, I couldn't outrun a cop if I tried But I bet I have some skills that would at least give him a run for his money.

Teehee!

While I don't think the Tundra could ever top Ford's F-150 sales...I don't even care, I've owned nothing BUT F-150's and F-250's in my day (except the corolla, and my first car was a 1965 Mustang) and this thing is wayyyy better in every way, shape and form to me.

I also recently purchased a 07 Tundra DC V6. This truck is great! Awsome power. The Mpg is now starting to improve after 1500miles. I plan to upgrade the main door handles to chrome. Mirriors & tailgatehandle to painted. And change up the wheels to either 20 or 22"
