Question Tundra build on Toyota.com

I'm having problems building a SR5 Tundra CrewMax. The only options it will let me use is either Tundra or Limited. Is anyone else having this problem. I seen a SR5 CrewMax w/navi and sunroof on ebay and the local dealership. They were 2008's. I seen the sticker with my own eyes. I don't want to spend the money on the Limited, but I need the Navigation for the wife since she's a country mouse...

It's not just you. I tried optioning one for you and it wouldn't work for me either.

Toyota's build and price section of their website sucks. The "regional" options piss me off too.

Exactly! Chevy used to have the worst site of all the OEM's, but I think Toyota's is the worst.

They don't even list factory rebates either.....only a link to local (regional) "specials", and then they try to get your info so a local dealer can call you! WTF?

And then they force you into checking the lowest option package.....oh boy I can go on and on.

since the cell phones have navigation systems in them now (telenav for example) i wouldn't get that in my truck. it's like having a built in cell phone.

I want the toys from the Limited, but I don't want the leather. I hate that with the Limited to get black carpet you have to get the ugly red rock leather. I'm looking for the dark blue with black cloth interior.

Toyota of Merrillville has a SR5 here that is dark blue with the black cloth with nav, reverse sensors and a moonroof if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, you aren't going to be able to get all the "goodies" without getting the Limited. Good choice on the dark interior...I wanted black on black, but 1. couldn't wait enough since I had to buy the truck "immediately" and 2. it seems to be a rare find, for some reason. As wonger mentioned, if you want to have a change to swap out with someone, make sure you don't get that nasty red rock interior, though it seems to be popular (and I can't figure out why!)

any of those make more sense than getting that built in system that is over 1000.00 dollars.
1. it's not fixed in only one vehicle
2. it's cheaper
3. can get updated when technology changes
4. you probably have the capability in your cell phone right now. in fact mine is built in to my blackberry phone.

EASY on the Red Rock now. I to wanted black on black, a black limited with black leather, and as you know that was not a Toyota option. So, I got a black limited with Red Rock Leather because I for sure wanted black carpet. I had reservations on the Red Rock as well but I have gotten more compliments on this truck than any truck I have ever owned.
