USA Stock shock vs. up-grade replacements........

Bought an '08 Tundra (4X2) and I'm loving it!! Question is this, Would buying replacement shocks improve the handling AND comfort of the ride? If so, what would you recommend? FYI, I have NOT, nor plan on lifting the truck, I just want to improve the ride a bit.

Not much, the stock ride is very nice for a truck.
If you go aftermarket, I would say Tokico would make a nice choice
and may inhance the ride a little...

Ty'yota, Welcome to TN.First off, do you have the TRD or non-TRD? Also, when you say you want to improve the ride, do you want it firmer or softer? The regular suspension is good to me. Some have complained that the TRD suspension is too harsh, but I didn't think so when I drove one.

Aftermarket is always valved STIFFER. You will not like the ride. OE shocks are not the junk they were 30 years ago. Why spend $30-50k for a carefully engineered new truck and try and re-engineer it yourself right away? Handling is not mainly controlled by shocks, but suspension geometry and tires. First, experiment with tire pressures. That costs $0 and can be changed back in minutes. I found that raising the front pressures to match the rears decreased oversteer and therefore improved on-road handling.
