Valet Key

In the hills of Arkansas we don't have such a thing as a Valet. Whenever I get a new vehicle I always hide a key under it somewhere. It has saved my bacon numerous times when I get locked out. And with the new locking devices they seem to have a mind of there own when it comes to locking you out. Would the Valet Key be a good Key to hide or should I get another key made?

Since the valet key is coded, that means if someone finds or knows where it is, they can take your truck with no ill-effects. I personally would just get a non-chipped key made and keep it in there...you can get into the truck, but you can't take the truck anywhere
