That truck was actually a pre-production Tundra modified by TRD and displayed at auto shows through out the country back in 2006.

If Toyota has plans for a Tundra X-Runner (XXX-Runner) I haven't seen any info.

I emailed TRD to see if they had any plans to produce the grill on this truck for sale and they said no.

Pretty shitty if you ask me...Toyota would sell a few of those if they sold them as shown above...or at least offered the parts that made that one appear the way it does! Edit: The wheels are available. They are just black painted 22" TRD rims...

If only they came into production, i'd have a 4sale on my runner today. 305 horse isn't enough, that tundra is pushin 500 now were talking. Not a huge fan of the paint scheme but it has potential.

They might sell a few, but I assume the general thinking is that a Tundra is more a work/middle-ager's truck and the Tacoma is more a youth-market truck, hence no Tundra X-runner. I'm middle aged and drive a Tacoma 4wd TRD Offroad, so their demographics can run a little askew.
