Need some help buying new with XSP

I went to the dealer last night and wanted to buy a DC 2008 Tundra with the XSP package. If you go to the Totoya website it saids its about $4500 MSRP.

Well their running ads on TV around here on a Tundra for $3500 on all tundra's and $2000 with DC cabs with the XSP package. So the the truck i want is $32,000 before any rebates or anything.

So the dealer keeps trying to push me on a truck on the lot, because they don't have any with the XSP Package. I told him i wanted that package with the rebate. Then he come back with well the Package is $6500 and they already took the rebate off.

Now how can it be that the MSRP on the package is $4500 but they pull $6500 ou of the air. I hate dealers, but i need some help.

Can anyone that bought that package and got a rebate tell me if i'm thinkin the right way.

Of course the salesman want to sell you what they have on hand....more profit on the sale...their funny like that! Have you tried configuring the truck on the website, and on the summary page click onto "get dealer quotes"? I will never sit in a showroom with a salesman ever again. When you do an Internet quote deal, you usually get exactly what you ordered, cut right to the bottom number, and save hrs getting beat up in the process. They have to locate the truck as you ordered it.

Exactly, I've done that twice now. It takes away all of the hassle of dealing with the dealer and driving back and forth.
