2wd Tundra in the sand?

Anyone have any experience with a 2wd Tundra on sand? I'm heading to a beach (El Golfo in Mexico) this weekend and will either have to drive my 07 Tundra 2wd TRD or my 07 2wd Tacoma Prerunner. I took my tacoma to the beach last year and it did okay. I aired down to 8 lbs in the rear and 12 in the front. The tacoma has an open rear diff and it really would've helped if I had a locker or a limited slip. The tundra has an electronic limited slip which I've never used as it hasn't been off road. By the way, before anyone flames and says, "should've bought 4wd", I go offroading about twice a year and if I wish I had 4wd but at this time, its not feasible.

momentum

Just keep your speed up and don't turn too sharp and you should be Ok, plan and know where your driving and park on a flat or down slope, and keep moving. Getting stuck in sand really is no fun.
Bring a shovel and boards just in case you need to dig out and drive on the boards to get ontop of the sand again. Good luck, 4wd is the way to go. I just buy the 4wd just cause i grew up in Snow country and drive in it all the time, even if i don't need it daily, it's worth alot when you need to be towed out.

I ended up using the Tacoma and I did okay, only one minor stuck. As far as the Tundra, I went a little offroad prior to the trip just to see how it would do and the electronic limited slip did okay, but when it engaged it was a little harsh.
