New Exhaust . . . Decisions, Decisions . . .

I'm not new to exhausts, so this won't be a newbie post

I'm looking for your guys' opinions, so feel free to chime in. The last 5 vehicles I've had all had aftermarket systems. Lemme explain a lil bit.

I put a Magnaflow on my current Tundra (5.7). I didn't like it. It was way too quiet. So, the last two months, I've had it straight piped. It sounds good at idle and partial throttle, but gets WAY too raspy for my liking at WOT.

Now, I had an LS1 Camaro before and put Dynomax bullet mufflers on it (basically a 12" long "glasspack). It had the perfect sound, deep, aggressive, obnoxiously loud, but ABSOLUTELY ZERO rasp. I hate rasp.

So this is what I'm thinking, going with 2 12" Dynomax bullet mufflers (they look like glasspacks, but have no fiberglass packing), one on each pipe coming off the header. And, I'm going to dump them underneath the truck with turn downs.

I know it's going to be loud, have a lot of cabin drone, etc. That I don't mind. What I do mind is that raspy WOT sound that I have with it straight piped, and what I've experienced on past vehicles with Flowmaster mufflers (specifically the 40 series).

I'm curious, is anyone on here running Dynomax bullet mufflers on their 5.7? Or, even glasspacks? Is it raspy?

The whole reason I'm going through this is I'm tired of my truck not sounding like a Titan with an aftermarket exhaust. Titans, IMHO, have the best sound of any gas truck with an aftermarket muffler. You know, that deep, throaty, echoing sound.

I'm hoping this setup will achieve the sound, while also taking advantage of the stock, true dual exhaust setup we have (btw, Ford, Chevy and Dodge owners pay a lot of $$$ to modify their exhausts to true dual setups, so we are lucky).

Opinions or experiences are welcomed.

Duals and sound

I have the TRD setup on mine and its quiet until i get on it and it's alive, not as loud as a flowmaster 2chamber setup but I do like it nice when i want to just cruise. Yet it looks killer and sounds very deep and nice when running around with all windows down and moderate throttle, anythings loud at WOT, so that quality sound is there with TRD IMHO.
