Replacing front shocks

I had a front shock go bad on my 07. (leaking) Toyota replaced it, but only the leaking shock.

"Old school" used to say you had to replace shocks in pairs. Is that not the case any more? I have 28k on my Tundra.

Thanks,

Brian

your shocks

I would have agree with you in this situation, if our truck was relatively low mileage, i could see a single shock replacment, yet the two should have been replaced, yet the dealer probably has a parts procedure that states damaged parts, under that warranty claim. If more dealers would please the customer, they might win over more customers cause good news is much better than negative which travels faster as we all know.

Old Truck 02 Superduty Diesel--- Tundra rides better and is bigger inside and gets way better mpg, not to mention uses cheaper regular.

I work at a VW dealer and we are only allowed to replace the faulty part. Toyota probably has the same policy.

Thanks for your replies.

The dealer is saying because of the low mileage, there should not be any problems.

I will just have to keep an eye on it.

Later,

Brian
