I know this is the Tundra forum but you have many more tech, towing trailer types on here so I'm taking a shot...
I recently purchased an 08 Sequoia SR5. I liked some of the features on the limited and Platinum but these higher level models reduced the GVWR significantly. Having driven commercially I'm well aware of the DOT and what they look for on data plates and stickers. We are trying to get as close to 10k trailers as possible with a 4x4 in a totally DOT legal non-commercial set up.
I now want to install airbags but both Firestone and Airlift do not make kits yet...although Airlift has responded that they will work with me on a bag that goes inside the shock.
my questions is...Does anyone know about the factory installed rear air shock system in the Platinum and optional in the Limited. I found a picture and it looks like it replaces the spring completely? This seems much better than one inside the spring???

Is this also offerded on the Tunda....btw...getting airbags is easy for the tunda?
Any other manufacturers of airbags???...do not want timbrens...want adjustability.
