Leaking!

my 07 tundra 2wd is leaking fluid from where the driveshaft meets the tranny! quite a bit too. overnight leaves puddle about 3"s wide. i have an appointment tomorrow with toyota service. this is my first toyota and i've never had a "new" truck leak like this before. my only other encounter with toyota service was not a good one! i hope this one goes better.

any body have this problem before?

I think I've read about this occurring once before. Have you tried searching this or any other forums? I know I've read about it happening to someone.

haven't done much research on it..... dropped it off earlier today, waiting to see what they tell me.

my tpms also dont work and when i told the guy about it he said that since i have aftermarket wheels that they were probably never installed! THEY ARE INSTALLED MORON!! YOU CAN SEE THEM!!! i told him i had taken it in once before it had the aftermarket wheels with the same problem and they gave me the same crap they give everyone else.... told me to check the spare! i was not happy and now they'll probably try to get out of warrantying them because of the wheels.

but they are very nice about it! and gave me free donuts so that makes it all better!

i may be wrong. we'll soon findout!

There appears to be TSB on this for 2WD but have not read it. The leak may be through the yoke and not the seal.

service guy finally called me late yesterday and said exactly that. leaking thru the yoke and they are replacing the driveshaft. they are also going to replace my trucks computer to fix the problem with the tpms. there is also a TSB on that.

had to hustle my butt over there last night to get a loaner. its a corolla! i can barely get in the tiny little thing but service is doing a better job then i expected and are not giving me a hard time.

they finished the work on my truck and evrything seems to have gone well.. my only complaint now is that they dinged my driver side door! otherwise this was not as bad an experience as i thought it was going to be. evrything was covered under warranty.
