Dent in Rear Bumper 07

I screwed up. Was backing into a parking spot and wham! hit the rear bumper on a concrete pillar. I was like WTF, the parking sensors didn't go off and if anything I thought the rear tires would touch curb before the bumper hit anything. Turns out the sensors were off, my 2 year old is always pushing buttons and touching things on the console and whatnot. Anyways, don't have any pics yet, not too big of a dent, but the 1st dent/scratch anywhere on the truck so I'm not happy. I'm not looking to spend $400+ for the small dent or pay the $500 deductible so I'm outta options. I was thinking of taking the rear bumper off and trying to take the dent out myself by hitting the opposite end with a heavy hammer but I'd probably make it look worse and it would be time-consuming removing the bumper, sensors, molding, etc. Anyone have any advice as to if this can be fixed or do I simply need to purchase a chrome bumper? and if so, anyone know someone who removed their bumper or a place in AZ, like a wrecking yard, that has fair prices?

Good luck. You might just have to bite the bullet and get a new one. I know about backing into things, I had my tailgate down one day and backed into the wall in my garage

I got an the guy at a body shop said trying to knock the dent out would break the chrome and then the bumper would rust soon ! So it's best to just leave it alone.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm probably gonna leave it alone and see if a good deal pops up somewhere on a bumper.
