Will the Tundra fit in the garage

I have a 96 T100, 2 months ago purchased a new highlander for my wife. Now I'm thinking I want a new truck. I want the Tundra my wife wants the Tacoma, says the Tundra won't fit in the garage. I agree it will be tight.

For all you out there with a Tundra in the garage what model Tundra and what size garage?

We have a 24X24 garage with a double door. Garage is clean with the HL on one side and my T100 on the other. I also have 2 motorcycles up in the front on each side of the house door.

I'm looking at the double cab.

I have a DC (standard bed)with a 24X24 garage, two doors. The inside of the garage measures less than 24 but length wise the truck fits pretty good. If I have the nose close to the door I can drop the tailgate.

My garage is 24Wx27D with two arched doors. I measured, and measured again and it was close. The third or fourth time I asked the dealer to help me measure how wide a Tundra is with the mirrors out he said "let's just drive and see". Sure enough, the Tundra wouldn't fit width wise through the door. Needless to say I ended up driving a Tacoma home. I don't really *need* a Tundra so it didn't matter that much to me, the Tacoma does everything I need and more. Plus it can fit in my nice heated garage with room to spare. Which makes me AND my other half happier in the wintertime.

Don't sweat about it fitting in the garage or not. If it was a GM I'd be more concerned since they seem to have a certain requirement to be in a garage of some kind a lot more often. For all the GM fans, don't get all pissy here, it was just a joke.

Here's a suggestion. Take a friend and a tape measure with you to a local Toyota dealership. Have the friend hold one end of the tape measure while you hold the other. Extend the tape measure from the front of the front bumper (make an allowance for the front license holder is your state so requires) to the back of the rear bumper (or trailer hitch if so equipped). Do the same from side to side (mirror tip to mirror tip). Do the same from the ground to the top of the cab. Now compare these measurements to those of the inside dimentions of your garage or carport. If any of the truck dimentions are greater than the garage dimensions, the truck will not fit. HINT--If you get a double cab long bed with tow mirrors, you may have to rent a barn or erect a separate building in your back yard. With tongue firmly in cheek----
