Thumbs up got my backup camera installed(few pics)

I just wanted to share some pics of my backup camera. I paid 40$ for it from a local shop online here. The resolution is that of more expensize cameras. I was not into spending 175$ for the pioneer backup camera. This cam also has IR leds for help seeing at night. It seems well made. Its not made of plastic.

Here are some pics. Im pretty happy for the money spent. It takes a few seconds to warm up/adjust.

The sun was glaring into the truck when I took this pic

This pic was in the dark with just the IR leds on and the rear break lights. Not bad.

IR leds

I wired the cam to the reverse lights so its not on all the time.

do you have some sort of scanner that tells you when someone posts in this section? hehe j/k

I did this system on a budget. Im pretty happy with the way it turned out. I paid 300$ for the deck 50$ for the install kit and 40$ for the camera. I was going to spend close to that on the OEM kit with the overhead LCD and tailagte camera/handle.

i have the same radio in my truck, it came with a matte black dash kit, it looks horrible next to the shiny factory dash, where did you get your dash kit?

I got it off a seller on Ebay. here If I were you I would get the scoche kit instead of the metra. I have some fit issues with the metra. the scoche also uses 4 mounting points like the OEM setup. The metra uses just 2 mounting points on the bottem.
