I was at a Toyota dealer having my Tacoma's oil changed and they had a Tundra TRD Rock Warrior on the lot. I'm just curious if anybody on the Tundra side of TN knows anything about this truck or has one yet. It definitely caught my eye. http://www.toyota.com/tundra/rock-warrior-edition.html
I hope Toyota plans on making that wheel for the Tacoma soon.
The Ivan Stewarts look sooo much better than those. 17" is such a damn odd size. What the hell was Toyota thinking. If they made it 18" everyone with a Tundra would be looking at those.

MY dealer has a white one on his lot. I saw it while getting mu mirror replaced. It is one sharp truck.
Those wheels look great. And with those tires, it looks real aggressive. I was disappointed about the 17" wheels but that is what crawlers have, bigger tires on smaller wheels. They must have worked hard to get them to fit. I think the 17 allow for more tire choices too.
For the money, you get badges, black bumpers, black interior, the wheels and tires, different shocks and if memory serves flares. You can only get it in 2 or 3 colors too.
Be Careful
mounting the wheels our new 2009 had the wheels come off when we left the dealer It looks like a great truck But the lug wrench requires an insert that makes the wheels hard to tork properly according to the dealer or have them put on different lugs.
saw a white one as i drove past my dealer last weekend. i noticed the rims but didnt know (til now) that it is a special edition... Anyone know how much those run $$$ ???
I don't think it is built with that package at the plant. It must be one of those packages that are added after the plant and before the dealer.
I build them (OK, actual just paint them) and have never seen that package, but I will check with my friends in Assembly and find out.

My son and I purchased on of these and it was a2009 the rear wheel fell off less than a mile from the dealership .It has a special lug wrengh insert which may have contributed to the problem but the wheels were turned around by the dealer. Fred in Maine
I just bought a Kansas TRD Rock Warrior, they are shipping to TX where I live in a week or so. I will say that I am VERY VERY excited! I bought it out of kansas because Gulf States refuses to install the upgraded stereo in the our region(the one with the steering wheel buttons/bluttooth etcc.) So with these aggressive tires, what kind of mileage should I be expecting guys?
Oh, and I'm coming from a 07' FJC 4x4. That was the best truck I have ever owned. It has pulled me through sand, mud, snow, ice, rain, and even deer dodging!
I know that Tundras are (unfortunatly) not made in Okinawa, Japan like the FJC's, so I'm wondering about the quality. I've driven one before, just wondering how they hold up over time.
just bought a 2010 rock warrior last week and its great!! i bought it in pittsburgh where im from and drove it to north dakota where im stationed. it actually got half decent gas milage. does anyone know where i can get acc. for it like a lift, front bumper with brush guard built in and a winch?
