Been in the market for a truck last couple months. I just bought an 09 Tundra TRD Sport 4x2 Double Cab. Man this engine is powerful, the tranny shifts are smooth, growls a bit, plenty of room in the back for 3-4 people, and radio sounds half way decent. Its not the top of the line s there are no power seats, no 6 disk, no nothin but a radio and lots of storage. And it cost less than my top of the line 06 Tacoma did.
I plan to do a few upgrades eventually. Here are some pics from Cardif Beach today.
just beautiful. looking foward to your mods. i noticed the bumper is different than the other tundras, is it just a step in front of the rear license plate?

Cancel that warranty immediately. You can get the exact same one through several other dealers for less than 1K.
Here's the email I received from Troy Dietrich, who is selling them. He works at Toyota of Greenfield (Massachusetts). He offered me the 7 year platinum for my '08 5.7 4x4 DC with $0 deductible for $990.

Hi Kris,
Sorry about the late reply, I was out of town last week.
Here is all the basic info and quotes:
I am currently offering the Toyota Platinum 7 yr / 100,000 mile Extra Care
plan w/ $0 deductible for $990.00 on Tundra 4x4's, which is the longest plan
available in both years and mileage.
Most of the details on the Extra Care plans can be found directly at
Toyota's website at the following link, including all the various terms and
options available, just let me know if you would like a quote on a different
plan.
Here are the purchase instructions if / when you decide to purchase.
I would need you to mail me an original signed letter indicating the exact
current mileage on your vehicle, and a copy of your current registration.(If
you are in a state where you don't get your state registration right away, I
can also use a copy of the bill of sale, purchase contract, or some other
official document which shows the owners name and address, along with the
vehicles VIN)
Sorry, I know its a little inconvenient, but its the only way we could come
up to cover ourselves on the mileage and VIN verification. After I receive
your letter, I can call you for credit card info, if that's how you choose
to pay, or you can include a check, money order, or the credit card info
with it. Also, make sure that the registration copy is legible (I have
gotten a couple of them recently that I couldn't read or had part of the VIN
chopped off on the copy).

Yeah please do what Rone said, they raped you. I purchased my 4Runner with a warranty from Toyota of Greenfield. It is a legit Toyota warranty, I have used it at different dealerships.
Nice looking Tundra.
I went from a Tacoma to a Tundra too. At first you think you'll get used to the extra power and it won't be a big deal. I've had mine for 3 months and it's still a big deal and a lot of fun.
