2010 Toyota Tundra

I am a proud new owner of a 2010 Toyota Tundra. Just bought it on Saturday and I LOVE IT.

I have a few quick questions about some accessories for it.

I would like to get a spray on bed liner or one that just lays in. What would you guys recommend?

Also, how much did you pay for dual exhaust and what type of mufflers did you get?

I recommend the "Line-X" spray on bed liner. It is tough and thick. Cost for mine was $400 with a life time warranty at any Line-X dealer.

I'd forget about a dual exhaust system. I doubt that any after market system will give you much improved performance. The factory system is real dual's until the single outlet muffler.

Good luck with your new truck,
virg

I own a swimming pool supply store with a weekly service business. We have several trucks and use them as work trucks. I have found that urban cowboys and people that generally drive trucks that only haul toys and such on occasion prefer a spray-in liner. They look great, and there is tons of marketing hype for these. I personally and many contractors prefer the plain old drop in type liners because you get a cushion, or give between the bed and the liner. This way when something heavy accidentally gets thrown in to hard or something spills it doesn't dent, stain or discolor like a spray liner. My Nissan Frontier has an OEM spray liner and while it looked great when it was new but in less than 6-months from new it has faded from the nice black to gray and blotchy from the sun and such. Also we often hual 50+ lbs & 100 lb drums of chemical and the box has dent's in the bed from loading the drums. We have another truck exactly like that one but with a plastic drop in, the box underneeth is still perfect. Guess I'm partial to the old fashion drop in style liners in a work truck environment. If I used my truck for just errands or hualing a quad or dirt bike from time to time. I agree with the others, a spray in is fine.

Drop-in bedliners:
Less expensive but, they rattle, you lose some bed room, will eventually rub the paint off of your truck, not repairable, could fly out of the bed, very slippery, good impact protection.

LINE-X with LINE-X Xtra (optional product):
More expensive but, resists fading and will hold its gloss, does not rattle, can't fly out of the bed, is repairable and comes with a limited lifetime warranty, is much better looking that a plastic drop-in, is available in black or color-matching, not as slippery as a plastic liner, you don't lose room in the bed.

The Nissan bedliner is by PPG (a paint company) and is applied as thin as paper and doesn't even compare to a LINE-X bedliner.

Here's some LINE-X pics, you won't find any drop-ins that look this good!

Yes, you can have a deck rail system with a spray in liner. Is your deck rail already installed?

brenda12 is a Qwikliner dealer. Qwikliner is a low pressure cartridge based system. Both LINE-X and Rhino have it also, but neither recommend it for truck bedliners.

That spray in Line-x does look sweet. I didn't know you could color match either. I have a rhino spray in since 2003 and it is holding up great.
I will never have a drop in liner.

I just got my truck this week but it has a Line-X liner as well and I like it already. The texture is nice for traction walking around in the box.

I don't like the spray on stuff of this reason. Its a pain in the butt to slide almost anything in and out of the bed.
