Tech Service Bulletin for Tailgates?

Yesterday I closed my tailgate after loading the bed with yard debris. Get to the transfer station and the tailgate is stuck closed, won't open. Note that although I close the tailgate forcefully, I don't "slam" it, and I'm not sure what the problem is. Was a fun time unloading all that debris with the gate up.

I searched this site and saw someone mentioned a TSB exists for a Tundra tailgate failure-to-open condition. My truck is a 2007. Can anyone provide the pdf of this TSB, or at least fill me in with more details? Thanks!

Yep, that's it. I printed the TSB summary and will take that back to the dealer. About a year ago I had the leaking propeller shaft seal problem addressed, the first time I brought the truck in they weren't aware of the issue and I got a bandaid fix. Went back with a pdf of the TSB that someone here posted and they fixed it right and gave me a loaner when the truck was in the shop. So this TSB info is very handy to have...thanks!

Yep...

Had the same problem with my 2007 Tundra. TSB kit consists of heavier latch connecting rods and additional rod guides. Permanently fixes the problem. However, one would think they would have tail gate design down pat by now.
