stero/CD lights

I've got a 08 tundra crewmax, and the lights on the stero/CD don't light up like the other controls do when you have your headlights on. The display lights up, just not the controls. Anybody have this problem? I've looked at the fuses but haven't found a bad one.

There is a scroll wheel on the dash to the left of the steering wheel that controls the brightness of the lights. Try turning up the brightness.

On second thought, are you referring to the numbers 1-6, the scan buttons, etc? If so, they don't light up. They're just painted.

EDIT: The second paragraph is incorrect. All the numbers/letters on the radio controls should light up.

Oh!

Yeah, I already did the dim wheel, but I am talking about the scan buttons etc. Can't believe they don't light up, I feel like an idiot. Thanks for the info RONE, I was just about to call the dealership.

I just checked and I was wrong, they do in fact light up - I just always keep my brightness turned all the way down on my truck so they don't light up. Unfortunately I can't offer any suggestions as to why yours aren't lighting up. Sounds like you'll have to give the dealership a call after all.

Try hitting the dash above the radio, thats what I need to do to get mine to work (I'm not kidding either).

^^Cool, mine does it every once in awhile, maybe once a week. It is totally random, the dealer I go to took it apart and checked all the connections and said it was fine...and of course I could not reproduce the problem at that time.

Hahaha, at least they're working now. Hopefully you won't have anymore problems with them.
