Spark plug change so early

I just did my 30K oil change and was filling out the record and noticed it said replace the spark plugs. Can that be true? I thought the got that figured out years ago to go to 100K. My dealer says yes it needs to be done every 30K miles.

Hmm.. I'm not sure. For some reason I also thought we had 100K plugs. But if your owners manual says 30K, do 30K.

Be sure to note what engine requires such frequent spark plug changes. The 5.7L V8 does not. Check your owners manual and make sure your reading changes for YOUR engine.

Ah, the light comes on. I've got the 5.7, and I was pretty sure it didn't need plugs at 30K.

buckstom, what motor do you have?

5.7 has irridium plugs (90k or 100k) i think toyota recommends 90k on these plugs.

Read your owner's manual. For the 5.7 V8, it is over 100K.
