No JBL w/o limited version so what now?

I had the JBL in 07 DC and I loved it! But I am Looking at purchasing a 2010 DC (in Colorado). After calling numerous dealers I have confirmed that you can't get the JBL without the the limited package anywhere in our region.

What can I do with the stock unit to get some quality sound? I don't wan't to spend much since I am buying a new truck with a crap stereo

I will most likely have someone else do the install. I would like to keep the stock head unit, and perhaps start with speakers and go from there.
