New Tundra Owner

Just brought home a new Tundra DC SR5 5.7. Since I bought this primarily to haul a trailer (currently have a Coleman Niagara pop-up, but will be upgrading to a 26 to 28 foot hardside by March), I'm considering getting a bed cap. Leer and A.R.E. seem to offer the best options. Does anyone have experience with either or with a different brand ? Any opinions/experiences would be welcomed. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums, I had both the LEER and the ARE. I found that the AREs fit and finish were nicer. The leer had many defects.

A little update--I've installed a bed mat and tailgate mat, threshhold covers, carpered floor mats, and a Tekonsha P3 brake controller on Xena. Have an OEM rear underseat storage bin on order and a pair of Nasta chrome step bars sitting in the garage waiting to be put on. Still trying to decide on a bed cap, although I'm leaning toward an A.R.E. (there's a dealer less than 2 miles from my home). I am thoroughly enjoying the new truck, which attracts more than its share of attention even in this car crazy town. Best Wishes--

I had a A.R.E. "cab high" cap I never noticed any paint fade, it was a great cap, My salesman told me to keep an eye-out at other peoples caps & see how they are holding up, I went back a few days later put my 20% down & they ordered a cap in my shade of silver. Darrin
