Good time to buy a Tundra?

I currently drive a Tacoma PreRunner extended cab. I love the truck, but I'm starting to wish I bought a 4 door instead of the extended cab (half door). My wife and I have 2 good size dogs (50lbs and 80lbs) and we have a 6-month old as well. Now that we have the baby, I'm wishing I had a little more space in the truck so we don't have to take her Highlander everywhere we go as a family. With all the talk lately about the Toyota recalls I got to wondering if now might be a good time to buy a Tundra crew cab. I'm assuming the dealers aren't selling too many Toyotas right now due to all the public discussion lately, so maybe I could get a better deal that I otherwise might be able to. What do you guys think? Has anyone bought a Toyota from a dealer in the last couple weeks?

I know how you can find out!! Dealers are always doing different things in different areas, and only a quick stop off at your local one will tell you for sure.

Good thing his truck is still under warranty. Take it to the dealer and have them fix it. And is he sure it's not user error? I've read many posts by people having issues with their t-case, just to discover that it's the person who is screwing up and not the truck.

I have a 2006 Tundra and my cousin who lives with me has a 2010 Tundra Crewmax. Both trucks are awesome. We both had to pull out an uncle's 2500 Chevy HD last hunting season. I can not recommend the Tundra enough.

The most common problem with transfer cases is people switching into 4WD when it is not save to do so for example while tires are spinning. Not saying it is impossible for one just to break but often times there is some user error. For the two Tundras I have experience with there has been not problems (except maybe parking in a small spot).

My 07 was bought new and will be 3 yrs old next month. Not one issue, unless you count the recall....which I haven't given a rats ass about to get fixed yet. Maybe at the next service appt. BTW- I pull a 23 ft boat all over Ohio, Ky and Tenn in the spring, summer and fall. Got around 20K miles. Won't be lookin to trade until the next 4-5 yrs! Maybe not even then.

My opinion car buyin is " Why buy new when there are great cars, and trucks out there, barely used for about 30% less of the original price". But obviously someone has to want them new first, lol.
If I were you, I would first make my decision on what truck I want, and then look for a good deal, not the other way around. Then you will deal with something, and enjoy something you really wanted.
I drove other trucks and for many reasons, no matter what problems ALL CARS AND TRUCKS have, I have ended up liking Toyota's quality and finish more.
Although Stiling has been way too conservative on Toyotas designs, thats the issue I have, I love the way Ford trucks are designed outside, but I wouldn't trust their guts too much.

like RONE says only one way to know for sure. I paid 29,600 out the door back in late 08 for my 2008 tundra DC, TRD 5.7 Sticker was 35,000. This was mostly due to the gas crisis remember that ? We all do

You will only miss the tacoma when your at the pumps and when its time to pull into a parking spot with the larger tundra. The taco and the tundra are both great trucks. I dont even plan on getting my "gas pedal" fixed. It is nice to have the extra space of the tundra crewmax or the doublecab. We have a baby on the way in a few months and Im sure the back seat will come in handy.

On what basis? I know some 2010's have an issue with a valve spring but thats all know is wrong with the 2010's
