Droid x and ipod touch bluetooth set up

I have a 2010 tundra double cab with a jbl 6 disc stereo. I currently have my droid x set up as a phone and my itouch as music player, all this done via blue tooth.
My problem is that when i try to sync the audio player from my droid x, deletes the ipod touch and droid x would be connected but won't transfers music or serve as a phone. I'm going quiet mad over this.
Has anyone been able to connect 2 blue-tooth audio players at the same time and switch between them using the option from voice command??

The only option I've come across is to switch over the phones themselves, not a phone/music player. I know it's annoying but maybe plug in the itouch in the aux/usb port???
