Special order part 11

After much runaround from Toyota dealers (although one did say the truck could be obtained but only as a special order which would take anywhere form 2-4 months). I received this response directly from Toyota regarding ordering a Tundra regular cab, standard box, with a V-8. On Toyota's website one can NOT build the above truck. So I asked Toyota WHY and they said:

The “Build Your Toyota” feature on our website, www.toyota.com, is designed to identify vehicles commonly available in your area. The information is not necessarily indicative of all the options or packages that are available. Additionally, not all options/packages are available in all regions of the country.

We recommend you speak directly with your local Toyota dealer in order to discuss the availability of the Tundra V8 with regular cab.

The one dealer who mentioned a special order is correct, although Toyota doesn't necessarily build every order placed. But if that's what you want, either look outside your area or place an order and start waiting.
