Either one with a dry filter. Oiled filters dirty the MAF in the intake tube and can occasionally throw check engine lights. It can be over-oiling, but a dry-type filter will not cause these probs.. I've ran K&N and Amsoil, both oil-type. Looking to swap to dry type from better prior experiences and years of off-road experience.

Good luck

There are lots of rumors out there, but it's impossible for our air filter oil to damage a MAF. I can't speak for other oiled air filter manufacturers though. We've tested over 300 MAF sensors allegedly damaged by our oil (tested in-house and at an independent 3rd party forensic lab) and none of them had our oil on them. We've even taken MAF sensors, dunked them in our oil, tested and installed them sopping wet with oil and no harm done. No check engine lights. Here are some short videos detailing our investigations. It won't take maybe more than 10 minutes to watch all of them.

Appreciate the heads-up. I'm very happy with the K&N on my Civic, but I had heard the rumors, so have not yet purchased a K&N for my new Tundra.
