Real towing numbers

I have a 2500 series chevy with 350 engine, the truck has a 7700# tow rating. I tow a 6500# bumper hitch travel trailer.

Want to upgrade so mama has a seat that will tilt back and grandkids can ride.

Looked at a 07 Tundra, 5.7, 6 speed auto with tow package, 25K miles,
price was in line.

per infomation this truck could tow 10,600 wow!!

Then i looked at the rear springs, they looked like light duty 1/2 pickup springs,

what good is it going to do me if i can pull the load, but its swinging all over the road.

Anyone out there have real world experience towing heavy loads with a tundra, 5.7 with 6 speed.

Thanks,

Maybe that's because it IS a 1/2 ton truck.

The Tundra is a 1/2 ton truck. What else could it mean?
