'08 Tundra 5.7 hard start?

My '08 Tundra is hard to start the first time I try to start it in the morning, but after that, it starts fine. Toyota claims that the injectors are "bleeding off" at night , & need to be replaced. It only has 58,000 miles on it, so I think they are trying to take me for a ride. Also, if the injectors are bleeding off, then as soon as I turn the key to the start postion, the fuel pump would re-pressureize them, so it should start. I would like to find out what is really causing this problem.

Also, I started it today & listened at the gas tank door but I cant hear the fuel pump running. Is the pump in the tank or somewhere else? Should I be able to hear it when the truck is running?

Fuel pump

I have a similar problem, except my 08 5.7 tundra with 59000 miles just died. I towed it to dealer and they diagnosed bad pump. I couldn't hear broken pump obviously but i can't hear the new one either. It is hidden in the tank, in fuel pump assembly.
I would ask dealer or any mechanic to check fuel pressure first before messing up with injectors.
59000 miles and bad pump is very disappointing. I had problems with pumps before but with cars with over 120000 miles.
Let me know if this is a pump problem. If yes, don't take it to dealer. The cost is $960 plus tax. I had it replaced by local mechanic for $170 plus cost of the pump ($190 in my case).
Good luck!

2008 Tundra Fuel Pump Problem

***UPDATE***
I just accidentally found out that the fuel pump is covered by powertrain warranty (up to 60000 miles). Called dealer this morning and spoke to manager. They will return all i spent for repair and towing. You can't trust these thieves, have to check everything yourself.
