How do you tow with a 4WD double cab?

Do you guys tow with this truck? What concerns me is the payload: 1,500 lbs or so. That is low when you even want to tow a trailer that's only 4,200lbs loaded like our travel trailer.
- 600 lbs four people (2 adults / 2 kids) with cloths and personal items (ipods, phones, purse, etc ...)
- 700 lbs tongue load of the trailer with the WDH
- 200 lbs for 4 bikes with 4 racks and cross bars.

Well, I guess that's it. That's 1,500 lbs right there. How do people do it? No cooler, no firewood, no chairs, no other camping gear?

I am looking at upgrading my Tacoma as I am hitting the payload limit very hard here (1,200lbs). But the 300lbs extra would not help all that much. Do I need to look at Ford? Or what am I missing?

I don't tow with mine, but looking at your list, I'd think if you redistributed what's in the trailer to lessen the tongue load, you could gain some payload capacity.
