'07 rear diff question
My neighbor brought over his '07 double cab 5.7/auto 4x4 said it has a howl coming from the rear over 40mph. Mileage is nearing 90k. Went for a ride and sure nuff, not real loud but audible. Pulled it inside to check u-joints or pinion slop all was good. Went to check the fluid and the vent must be plugged as it spewed fluid all over me. Wiggled the vent cap and got it loosened up. Anyone else experience differential noise as the miles roll up? Probably going to change fluid anyway. Any feedback would be appreciated.
