I, for one, am a huge fan of the I6. No other powertrain drives llike it. Even Bmw is getting out of the I6 game. But, we have to face it that people (mass market) want their performance AND fuel economy. The I6 just isnt very fuel efficient. Yes, their powerband is flat as glass and nothing is smoother, but the world, especially Toyota, is looking to improve their "green" image.
The new V6 is an unbelivable engine...270+hp(depending on application) and 29+ hwy mpg!!!
I know the purists arent going to be happy, but you absolutely cannot deny the performance.
