OT Who is John Galt? (oops...)
And I'm wondering if I will be working here at all after today...
When I was at GE someone said we had to have stuff ready for Gary Stevens
staff.
I asked, Who is Gary Stevens?
He was the President of the Plastics Division.
Have you ever heard of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand?
All through the book there are references to "Who is John Galt?
<SNIP>
* The question "Who is John Galt?
Who is John Galt" is asked repeatedly throughout Atlas Shrugged
Later into the book we learn that John Galt is the man who stopped
the motor of the world and the leader of the Strikers. He is also
the same character as the Mystery Worker.
The son of an Ohio garage mechanic, Galt left home at age 12 and
began college at Patrick Henry University at age 16. There he
befriended Francisco d'Anconia and Ragnar Danneskjöld, all three
of whom double-majored in physics and philosophy. They were the
cherished students of the brilliant scientist Robert Stadler
and the brilliant philosopher Hugh Akston.
After graduating, Galt became an engineer at the Twentieth Century Motor
Works where he designed a revolutionary new motor powered by ambient
static electricity with the potential to change the world.

So I get a call from John Galt from Panavision. He wants to talk to Bob J.
I ask, what if I said, "Who is John Galt"? He said, "I'd tell you to stop
it!
He then told me his kids had a license plate frame made up that says "Who is
Ayn Rand?"
It is always good to do a little background of the people you are talking
to.
I thought Mr. Galt was a Salesman...
Mr. Galt is:
John Galt,
Senior Vice President, Advanced Digital Imaging
Panavision
