awwhh. what a bust man. Sorry to hear about what happened. I remember when i had mine done, there were about 5 or less bubbles in my tint, but the guy who did it said they would be gone after a few days. And sure of, they did disappear.
But overall, the place i took to have it put on, does wonderful work. We took 4 of our previous cars to the same place, so i just wanted to continue the tradition with mine. The place was called "Tint Plus Formula One Tinting". Id highly recommend this place if its located near you. Reasonable pricing also. Just make sure you get some kind of warranty for LIFE!
is there any standard autoglass around your area ? i had mine done there and they re did it if the bubles started to form along with life time warrenty my gen5camry was 220+tx cdn. hope this helps
I know exactly what you mean. I went to a tint place like that in SoCal. I tried to get them to fix the tint but they kept trying to sell me other crap like cheap, used wheels.
Auto Tint Centre has been in business for the past 17 years, at the same location with the same owners. We have various accounts with Dealerships within GTA and maintain a high level of quality with them. We also have a high volume of repeat, referral and new customers. Complaints are dealt with in a reasonable fashion and require agreement on both parties, which are minimal to date!

I agree with you all that Auto Tint Centre located at 6505 kingston rd scarborough are big scammers. They just want your money. I have been dealing with them since May 2010 and have had problems every time. I bought a brand new car to them, that was only 2 weeks old and got the Llumar 20% for $220 cash with a lifetime warranty.
Once they put the tints on, there was no turning back. They will only book an appointment for you to put the tints on, after that when you need to get them fixed, Vidya (owner's wife) will tell you to come in on Saturday at 9am and sit around. She will not book any appointments. I have pictures to prove what I am about to say you can send me a message and I will email it to you if you would like.
I booked my appointment for a Friday with Vidya (owner's wife) and got my car back in 3 hours. Did exactly what they told me to do on the paper they give you with directions(leave outside in sun, leave windows up for 1 wk..etc)
After 2 weeks I called and tried to book an appointment to fix it, but Vidya (owner's wife) told me to come in on Saturday. There were several bubbles on my back windows including my hatchback, the back passenger window was not lined up properly as it was placed on crooked, the 2 front window tints & 2 corner windows are cut short so you can see the lining from outside. They also cut the window rubber on my back driver's side window, EVEN THOUGH THEY WILL TELL YOU THE DON'T USE RAZORS AS THEIR TINTS ARE PRE-CUT..ITS'S BULL. I understand that sometimes the window rubbers need to be cut, but don't lie to me and tell me you didn't do that, when clearly it was found. When I did bring it back I showed them the problems and also showed the owner Tony the cut. He first tried to tell me they don't use the razors, but low and behold when we opened the hatchback, there was a razor found. He told me he'll fix it. They replaced the back 2 windows and 2 corner windows, and Tony told me to leave the hatchback tint on as the bubbles will fade in a couple of weeks.
Went back there again 2 weeks later, once again when I called to book an appointment Vidya (owner's wife) told me to bring it in on Saturday. This happened every 2 weeks for 2 months. I went in on Saturday at 9am to fix my tints. After replacing my back door windows 3 times, and the corner back windows 2 times, and them not replacing my hatchback window or drivers window, I was furious. I asked to speak to Tony(the owner) and left 3 messages with Vidya (owner's wife) and till today have not got 1 phone call back. They do not deal with complaints well, they do not warrant their "life time warranty", and the girl in the front is rude as she is the owner's wife so she could careless cuz regardless she'll always have that job.
I now have decided to go with another company as I have taken my car to 3 different shops and all have confirmed to me they are always fixing AUTO TINT CENTRES mess. So on top of the $220 I paid them, I have to add $120 for replacing the window rubber b/c of them, and another $100 for removal of AUTO TINT CENTRE tints and $280 for new tints.
***Do NOT go to them...they just want your money and have no time for you after to fix the problems and the horrible tinting job they created***
First of, dealing with an unsatisified customer through a forum is not appropriate or businesslike. Obviously putting out personal information that is not intended to be distributed or used for improper use is a breach of CONFIDENTIALITY, as you released personal information that is solely used for your company's business.
As you have stated I had left messages 2 weeks ago and got no response from your company. We could have dealt with this in a proper businesslike manner but you choose not to(ignoring phone calls, not returning messages). So instead I expressed my views of the company on this forum since other people have as well. I am surprised that in order to get a response from your company by a phone call you decided to reply in this thread. Thank you for the feedback. I would have deleted the comment above if you "dealt with in a reasonable fashion".
My complaint is not inaccurate as you never took the time to see the damage yourself. I don't have financial issues, and if I did I'm sure $29 would not make a difference. You didn't tint my car last year, it was May 2010, receipt to prove it. So there was no tree sap from last year, have no idea what you are talking about?? Maybe it was another complaint from another client. Yes there was a stain on the window which was tar caused by the tint not being installed properly as it was not smoothly put on at the bottom which lifted the tar from the door panel when the windows went up and down, as per mazda dealership. If it is a lifetime warranty it doesn't matter that I brought it back in every 2 weeks for 2 months, that is what LIFETIME WARRANTY is. You never took my car to a body shop b/c my husband and I were always there waiting for the car. The 2 times I showed up without "an appointment" was because you did not want to deal with me on the phone or ask (the owner) to call back. You also claimed that he was not in on Saturdays but when I did show up he was there. Yes I insisted to have one installer which was the owner b/c he would be able to take it care of it.
You did not mention that the owner, who I left the messages for, was away, instead you said he got the message and will return my call. My patience is done b/c after 2 months with several bubbles, and 2 months of the hatchback not being done. I decided to go somewhere else and get a real warranty and have a professional company place the tints.
Regardless of the situation, I no longer have to deal with Auto Tint Centre as the window tints have been removed and I have paid for the damage of the scratched window and the new rubber lining. So neither you or myself have to deal with this again.
You obviously have my number which I can report you for distribution on this website and as for my mailing address, you have that as well. You can file your complaint or legal action, as this is a forum where you can express your views and opinions. I took pictures of the damage to show, knowing that after reading many reports of your company on the web after I got the car tinted is not good with handling customer complaints. Thank you for trying to tint my brand new 2010 car that was 2 weeks old.

Thank you VictoriaR for your reply and removing my personal information that included my work phone number & full name(although the admins already removed the last 4 digits & my last name). I would have surely given you the receipt with no hesitation but because of the message you put today and then erased:
RE: Shellz18
Michelle, you did not give us the chance to correct your complaints. It was your impatience and ignorance to the tinting process, which lead you to another tint shop. If your memory allows you, please kindly provide the names of the 3 tint shops which advised you that, “they were always fixing Auto Tint Centre mess”. Regards Auto Tint Centre
**I do not feel comfortable providing you with that information as that is confidential information for the other businesses and I do not think it's appropriate. And don't feel it's relevant. I am very satisfied with the tint job I got done, although its not one of the three companies. I can however provide you with the cost of the removal(120) of ATC tints and installing(180) Formula 1 - Llumar 15%, in total the cost was $300.**
I can bring you my car to show you the proof that all the tints ATC installed are removed and infact the new tints installed are Formula 1 - Llumar 15%. If your company would like to come to agreement of a refund of what I had paid ATC for the tints which was $220(receipt), that would be appreciated. ATC can also come up with an estimate of their own and let me know. Please take into consideration if another client came into your store and asked you to remove Llumar tints that were installed on it and add new tints which are Formula 1 - Llumar 15% life time warranty, how much would you charge? Thanks.
