Detailing Shop

I know, I know....half of you are going to say that i'm a pussy unless I do it myself, but I wanted to get my car done right the first time kind of like a present to it and myself. Winter was pretty hard on my car's interior with salt crusted everywhere.

Anyhow, I'm looking for a really good detailing place in the GTA that does everything (paint touch up and polish and waxing, engine shampooing and detailing, and interior detailing). Price isn't really an issue since i'd rather pay to get an amazing job than pay less and get something I'm not happy with.

Let me know, and for all you lazy folks out there, maybe we can get a group discount going if we find a good place!

Give these guys a call. They have a really good relationship over at torontoaccords.com. I've never used them before myself though because I'm not lazy!!

Well, I don't know how lazy I am...I DID wash and wax my car today.....but I need the interior steam cleaned, and I'd rather have a professional shampoo my engine cos I don't feel confident enough yet to do it myself.

ProAutoTint doesn't do steam cleaning, so they don't have what I'm looking for....

Go to Home Depot and rent a steam cleaner for about $30/day and do the interior yourself.

As for the engine, go to crappy tire, buy a can of engine shampoo and follow the directions on the can :p j/k...It's easy;

-work on a cold engine
-cover electrical components (alternator, battery, harness' (optional) ) using a shopping bag or whatever
-apply engine shampoo generously
-let it sit for a few minutes
-scrub stubborn stains with an old toothbrush/wire brush
-rinse with water well
-repeat if necessary

Tada!

NEVER use engine shampoo... it's very very very corrosive....

use a multi purpous cleaner straight and scrub...

shouldn't take to long
