scion "pure" pricing

Hi guys. visited a dealership inquiring about the Xa. basically the salesman told me there is no haggling with all scion vehicles saying it's final and non negotiable and will only sell @ msrp no more no less. He called it "pure" pricing or is this "pure" bs. I'm trying to get this a couple over invoice. is he lyin'?!

Sir,
I am a Toyota salesman and im one of the most honest ones you will meet. That is actually the truth, Scions are pure pricing, its for people who dont want to haggle and want to buy a car and they are discounted straight from port, and that is no lie. For instance, look how much the Celica's went for new.
Thanks,
Ben

I know this is an older thread, but might as well chime in. Pure Pricing is NOT price fixing. For example, my dealership discounts all Scion's to $369 below MSRP for our Pure Pricing. Every Scion dealer has a special Scion page where they list their pricing: for the cars, accessories, finance, everything involved. Most dealers do not go below MSRP, but some do. Most dealers charge full retail for extended warranties, some discount them.

This smells something that Toyota has done before and was forced to stop doing it. It was another "NO-HAGGLE" pricing scheme, i am thinking Access Toyota (not sure). I read about this in a Lemon Aid Guide by Phil Edmonston. I will find the book and read it again and post then. The book was 2006 Lemon Aid Guide to New Cars and Minivans.
If you are in canada go to http://carcostcanada.com you have to pay but it will give you the dealer invoice for up to 5 different vehicles. then you would know for sure if i am right or not.

#3: THERE IS NO HAGGLING ON SCION'S! PRICE YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU PAY! Just like Saturn used to be!
