Canada 300% over pop !!!!

I was looking for a exhaust hanger brakcet for my 87 MR2 last summer. I was trying to get a quotefrom the BIGGEST dealership in Ontario( hwy 404/steels). And the guy behind the counter told me it would cost me $240+taxes!. And refused me to provide the P/N. I was trying to ask the parts manager for the reason of refuse to provide me the P/N. But i was in hurry at that time. I haven't keep this in my mind until Oct 06, I was in the other dealership to get some parts for my friend's MR2 and asked the price the the bracket again.....it cost $65+taxes ONLY compared to $240!!???( coz I know dealerships have different prices on some items since I used to work in service dept for most of the imported cars dealers).

Guys, get more quotes from different people especially for those Antique cars.

Drive safe!

I had a simmilar problem...only with the price, the part # was given to me without asking he just rattled it off i had to ask him to say it slowly so i could write it down. in Lloydminster, Sask. Silverwood Toyota. I was quoted $346 plus tax for a fuel pump bracket. After calling several dealers in alberta i got a price of $155 plus tax. I was stuck because it is a dealer only part or i would have gone jobber for sure. I have to agree call around before you order it. I would start with the parts manager then to the dealership manager if a parts guy would not give up the part#. Don't let some dude that couldn't cut it as a mechanic fu#% you around.
