DO NOT BUY from yngtunr aka turbobigport

Hey guys,

I'm posting this to give the entire car enthusiast community a heads up of this kids shady dealings. I believe Ive given Ethan enough time and patience to resolve this situation. I'm starting by posting my experience on multiple forums and if this situation still remains to be unresolved, I will pursue legal options. Its lengthy and wont bother with cliff notes other than DO NOT BUY FROM YNGTUNER aka TURBOBIGPORT Heres what happened:
  • Back in August I messaged Ethan about purchasing a custom intake manifold that he would be replacing on his car. He told me a price and I agreed, but was waiting until his replacement came before finalizing the deal. A few weeks go by and after contacting him, if find out hes having difficulties with the replacement one and wont be able to sell me his. Not a problem, Ill begin looking elsewhere.
  • Here's where the fun begins. Mid-November Ethan contacts me to let me know a friend of his has a stock intake manifold for sale for cheap and is willing to have it hot tanked and modified just like his. We set up a price and I send the money via paypal on Oct. 20th. I'm told it would take only take a couple weeks in time to meet up at a car show in his city Nov. 6th. Just a couple days before the meet I contacted him asking how progress is, he tells me everything's all done except the welding, but his welder been sick, so itll be close. No biggie, people get sick. He assures me he'll be attending the car show regardless.
  • November 6th rolls around and guess what...he's a no show, no response to texts that night, nothing. At the show, after talking with a couple people, Im told he's screwed over a few of my car clubs members in the past. I private message him that night and get a response the next morning saying that on the way to the show, he blew an intercooler pipe and upon getting back on highway he gets pulled over and cop gives him a warning and is told to drive back home. He tells me the manifold should be all buttoned up by Nov 7th or 8th and he personally drive it to me. At this point, Im becoming to feel a little uneasy, but understanding that problems arise.
  • November 12th I get a message saying manifold is almost done. Nov. 17th I ask him the status on the manifold and he says everything is finished up, just finishing up the small stuff. At this point, Im becoming a tad annoyed, but nothing serious. I ask for a time frame of when I will be receiving the part, he tells me him and fiance just broke up and everything has been on hold in his life, but I'm assured Ill have it before December 1st. At this point, I begin digging about peoples past experiences with him and find out he was pulling the same with other people as far as excuses and whatnot.
  • Fast forward to November 27th, over a month after sending the money, I find him on Facebook and see hes quite active, so contact her should be no issue. I message him and he says hes still on schedule to have it out by the 1st. At this point, I word my messages so he can tell Im a bit annoyed.
  • December 1st I message on Facebook him letting him know Im expecting it to be in the mail today. Several hours go by without a response, even though I can see his active posting on facebook, so I send another message saying I need to see or hear something the end of the night without any please or thank yous. I get a response within a few minutes informing me he's at work, but will send me a pic in the morning. I'm told its completely done he just needs to find time to ship it. At this point I really annoyed. I tell him I need a pic by Noon the next day and a tracking number by Friday. I let him know Ill reimburse him for shipping AFTER I have it in my hands because Im not sending anymore money. He says no problem.
  • At noon today, no pictures. Around 1PM today I'm on facebook and he notices Im on messages me instantly saying he just woke up and to give him a few minutes to send them. 2:30PM and still nothing. I this point, Im feel like Im being scammed so I send him an ultimatum, I want pictures by 8PM tonight or I will be posting what I am posting for you guys now. Your reading this, so you can assume he cant even send me pictures showing me he even has the item. I have informed him if I don't have a tracking number by 5PM tomorrow, I will pursue further action and that's where its at. I not saying hes a scammer just yet, but I want to warn everyone, DO NOT BUY FROM YNGTUNR aka TURBOBIGPORT. Thanks guys.
