awile back i ordered an amp off the TN buy/sell forum. The amp was never sent. Here are a few tips to take when ordering...

1.) use paypal. paypal has an excellent method to file a claim against the seller. The guarantee your money back.

2.) Verify the person's name before ordering, with the account on paypal. The person i ordered the amp from had two alias'.

3.) People that have been on TN are most likely more reliable than noobs. The guy had only been on TN for about a week.

here's how it turned out:

I contacted paypal, and since he had pulled his money from the account they were unable to transmit my money back to me. So, the case was closed. I was furious with paypal and the way they handle things like this. I contacted my bank and my bank offers a free serrvice to research into the purchase, and the seller. The seller was noted for doing this on multiple forums and ebay. The police were contacted and the seller was later apprenhended (to the best of my knowledge, the cop was not allowed to say he was arrested but told me the man would not be selliing products via the internet anymore.)

The bank refunded the money, and thats that.

not to add police-ing into the forum.... would it be necessary to add like a minimum posts before you can try to do any bartering here on TN? is it possible? Like you can view or reply to threads but only until you have xx posts will you be able to sell or give an ad?

V6cam, how did you go about following number 2... just curious and in case for the future.
