Thumbs down Toysport transaction, my story

I ordered an overhaul gasket set for my 4age 20 valve silvertop about 4 weeks ago from Toysport in California. The day I ordered it, I was told it would ship out the following week. I called back the next week to see if it had shipped yet, I was told again, "next week". I e-mailed them a week later for info, (on their website in the contact section it states all e-mails will be responded to within 48 hours) but no reply. I called them again, they say the parts just came in that day, and they'll ship them tomorrow and e-mail me a tracking number. 24 hours later, no e-mail. I call them again, they haven't shipped my stuff yet because they have to take it to the post office. They'll try to do that as soon as possible, and e-mail me the tracking number. By this time I'm getting pretty pissed. I wouldn't have nearly as much of a problem with this if they had told me upon odering that it was going to take 6 to 8 weeks. That would be fine, but I was told it would ship "next week", so it should ship next week, and if not, then at least send me some correspondance letting me know why, and the new expected shipping date, at least. Personally, I would think twice about dealing with Toysport again in the future, but mine may be an isolated case. If you've dealt with Toysport before please share your feedback, good or bad.

I've heard nothing but negative as well.

Not much of a choice when it comes to good Toyota shops here in Southern California

Thumbs down

UPDATE

I still have not yet received my gasket set from toysport. I've called them 5 or 6 times, e-mailed them twice (without reply) and I'm still getting the same old shit. "We'll ship them tomorrow and send you a tracking number." Basically I will NEVER deal with toysport again, and suggest that unless you're really patient, or like being $%#ed around you shouldn't deal with them either. They didn't even source the parts themselves, the credit card transaction was billed to Cabe Toyota of Long Beach. In future I will probably just call Cabe Toyota, or e-mail my buddy's brother who lives in japan and get him to ship me what I need directly.

I finally got my gasket set today. Seven weeks after ordering, and six weeks after they told me they would ship the merchandise. I'm happy to have received my order, but am still a bit pissed about their lack of communication, and lying to me about when they were going to ship it. Also they sent me the overhaul gasket set for a 4age 20 valve blacktop, not silvertop, so a few of the gaskets won't fit, it's not worth my time to return it and re-order, if anything I'll just get a couple of gaskets custom cut, and maybe get my head ported and gasket matched to the bigger port blacktop gaskets. Anyway, this whole fiasco dealing with toysport has taught me a lesson, toysport sucks. Too bad they didn't send me any of their stickers with my order so I could cut them in half and put them upside down on my car. Oh well I hope this gives some people a heads up about toysport and how shitty their business practices and customer relations are.
