I recently bought an oem spoiler from bigpeterock29 for my gen 3 camry (http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t87285.html). He told me that the spoiler was white and was in great condition.
When it arrived a couple days ago, I was shocked to see that this spoiler was a piece of crap. It is painfully obvious that the spoiler was originally blue and was painted half ass with spray cans. There are many runs in the paint, a long with thumb prints, uneven covereage, a few hairs, brush strokes, and over spray. He didnt even mask off the third brake light when he painted, so it has overspray on it. Not to mention the third brake light doesnt even work when he assured me it did! The hardware was incomplete. It looks as though the spoiler was not even sanded, primed or clear coated. In short, this piece of crap is not nearly worth the $60 I paid for it and is not even close to what I was promised.
bigpeterock29 has not returned my emails on the subject, which isnt surprising. I sent him a money order because he refused to use paypal so now I have no way to dispute this.
Im pretty sure there is no way anyone can help me in this, but I can help you-
BE CAUTIOUS WHEN BUYING ANYTHING FROM BIGPETEROCK29!!!!
Ill put some pics up tonight... I should have known by his crappy pics but he told me that "the paint was perfect" and "I would not be dissapointed with this spoiler.
I still havent heard from him and dont think I will... I dont know what to do. I thought maybe he was on vacation or something but its almost been a week... what should I do guys? I doubt I could sell it again even for like ten bucks because the tail light doesnt work. argh this pisses me off.
I have his address, should I try to get his phone number or something?
Not to be a dick, but it's $60... just be glad that it wasn't $600. Honestly, you can recoop $60 simply. Though it does suck, we all learn from shitty situations. Hope things get better and hope we can warn everyone when this asshole tries to sell things here again.

I read over the forsale thread, and it sounds like onehotcamry did the paint job, not the guy you bought it off of. So maybe you want to confirm who's paint job this was...
But it's $60 regardless...yes, it sucks to get ripped off, but it happens on the internet. I bought some brand new blackhoused headlights from another accord member, and paid $240 for it...it was supposively brand new, but there was a bad paint spot inside...seller didn't tell me, nor did he want to. Had to suck it up. Can you refinish the spoiler? My old gen3 spoiler was gold (from SBC haha) and I sanded it, and painted it silver. It looks decent and the clear coat has been holding up for over 3 years now.
From onehotcamry:
"Selling it huh?
I can vouch for this seller, he bought it off me. What he is asking ins't bad at all if you have a white car. He isn't asking for much more than what I sold it to him for and it's got a fresh paint job. Good luck Pete.
I know and I just dropped a grand on my rims and tires, $60 does not bother me at all... I simply made this thread to warn you guys about this user, thats all. Thanks for the opinions.
And anyone who could ever call this paintjob "decent" is a fucking idiot.
