In all Honesty, if you have alot of it, I would use some kerosene on a rag... Large amounts of tar will really jack up your clay bar.

Back in the day that is what they used to strip wax off automobiles...

Just do not get any Kerosene on your driveway.... it eats Asphalt and will NOT harm your Paint.
