My girlfriend's 2005s does the same thing. I always thought it was just a small defect in the rolla due to cost cutting measures since its not a luxury vehicle or anything and the noise wasn't hurting the car.

I will now check for any gaps in the firewall and see if plugging it up solves the problem. But the thing is, it happens every now and then because in order for the problem to show up, I have to be traveling at a pretty high rate of speed as well as it being very windy outside.

Her windshield has never been changed so I guess I can rule that out but who knows there could be a crack in the seal. Can't hurt to look.
