Meguiars GC is good stuff.
IMO, buying good car wash is never a waste of money. That car wash shampoo is what lets the mitt slide over your paint while you're washing it. Using dish soap or a cheap car wash can strip your wax job, and not provide enough lubrication for your mitt to safely remove dirt from your paint.
It's a lot cheaper to buy a good car wash shampoo than it is to polish out marring and micro scratches because you used cheap shampoo.
IMO, a good bottle of car wash shampoo is well worth the money, if you consider how long a bottle lasts you, and the job that the soap does for your paint.
