Lately I'm starting to like Matte tire gel better, but if you have some Gloss gel that you like, after you apply it wipe it wipe the tire with an old rag. That will cut down some of the gloss.

I use 303 to clean and protect leather, plastic, rubber. I just get a rag pretty damp with 303 and then wipe the stuff down, and then wipe it off to get the dirt and oils off, then re-apply it with another rag. For off the shelf, Lexol works good too. You should really do this to your steering wheel, shifter and interior door handles. You don't really notice how dirty they were until after you've cleaned them. The steering wheel feels a lot better after a cleaning. It's good to get the skin oils off of it.
