1st Problem: RESOLUTION!

Folks, I picked up my 2007 Camry XLE last night from the dealership. I can confirm that the XLE does come with Cruise Control and not just an extra lever on the right side of the steering column...

According to the service manager, the problem was a defective spiral wire (AKA, "clock spring") in the steering column. The cruise control portion of this assembly was not functioning.

They replaced the "Combination meter assembly R&R" and the "cable sub-assy, spir," put it all back together and everything now appears to work.

As is usually the case, the service manager told me that this was the first time he had ever had to replace a clock spring, regardless of the model...

I am hoping this is the only problem my car will have for a while...
