Don't missunderstand me, I'm all about mods and tweeks. Just be sure your tranny-clutch and so on is able to take the increase in heat produced by the speed increase. If you are tracking your car I'm sure you know what your tranny can take. It would just suck to blow something if it was not worth the risk in the first place.
It is not that the engine can't take it in most cases, the tranny and say the clutch plates may not be rated to take the max potential of the motor.

I'm curious to know what happens. Let us know.
