I just picked up a 2012 Limited with the following factory options installed (JBL Premium 6 disc stereo, Tow Prep Package, Trailer hitch, Body side moldings, Chrome exhaust tip) and paid $900 UNDER dealer invoice with 0% financing for 60 months.. I think I got a pretty good deal..

exactly, I specifically didn't get mats in my deal and then got a new pair of Toyota OEM All Weather mats for $80 off ebay shipped to my house a few days later...The factory crossbars are a joke as well, you can get nicer ones rated for almost twice the weight for $100 on ebay...

Thanks!
Got my 2012 HL SE about a month ago.
Location of purchase: Southern California
Price before TT&L: $31,900
MSRP or list price (to determine the options included?): $35,512, this included Tow Prep Pckg, mats and special color Blizzard Pearl fee.
This was by far the best I could find anywhere in southern cali.
2012 Limited 4x4 v6 with Tow, JBL, Mats, and Cross Bars for $35,825 + Tax + Title. The vehicle stickered just under $40k. We got the 0% financing and a lifetime powertrain warranty offered through the dealer. We do not have to use the dealers service to keep the warranty, just keep the receipts of the stuff put into the vehicle. There was no trade in either.

I got the identical setup and paid 36,197 then tax & title minus a $1000 rebate . Got $21,500 on a trade which saved me $1452.25 in sales tax and 2.49% financing for 36 months which I chose over the 0% they were offering back in mid May. Couldn't take both the 0% and rebate it was one or the other. I think since the dealerships are probably going to want to clear out the 2012 to make ready for the 2013 model deals should be better now.

Looking at a 2012 highlander LTD w/ GPS, comes out at 950 under invoice (including the $750 rebate). 3 deals gave me the same price really, a few $ off here and there.
How far can i push these guys? The final OTD price comes out at 40,400, think 40k even would do it or can i go more?

I think you could do better. I got $500 under invoice and then the $1000 rebate. That was back in mid May. I would think that this late in the year you could do better than my deal even.

I just purchased Highlander 2012 Limited at CAD42000 before taxes, i.e. Canadian MSRP less $3000 and free 2 oil changes, cargo liner and door bampers. Dealer tried to add globali.com insurance, but I opted out.

I would say right around the average, so I don't think you got taken (remember we all have our opinions). When I traded my '08 Sport back in July, the dealer that I prefer was quoting me right around 16-17k on the trade. So I took it to Carmax who really gives cars a good inspection before trade, and they told me 18k. When I told "my" delaer this, he went up to 19k. Saw it on the dealer's used website three days later after the trade for 21k.

I just bought a 2012 SE AWD with tow package, factory tow hitch installed and all weather mats for $35,000 (+taxes) and got the 0% financing for 60 months. Coming from a Rav4, I love the ride of the Highlander.
When I bought mine there wasn't a single '12 within 400 miles. I had seen a couple the week before, but they were flying off the lot faster than I could get to them. Dealers were selling them at invoice or below just to clear them off the lot. There was little inventory already in anticipation of the '13s arrival.
In the end, I got my '13 Limited for $37K. The dealer's internet price was a little higher, and my buying service price was $36,8XX. Since the car had mudgards and all the carpeted floormats, we split the difference between the two prices since mine didn't include any accessories and they didn't have any "naked" limiteds. I had to drive 300 miles to get the deal, but it was well worth it.
