Post How much did you pay for yours???

I am wondering how much ppl here have payed out the door for their 08 Highlander because we are getting ready to buy one and i want to know what a good price to pay is. Also what APR rate did you pay?

We are looking at buying a HIghlander Limited with the Navi package rear AC and pwr liftgate.......the Edmunds TMV price was 36,597.

Hope you have better luck than I did in your area.

Dealers in my area would not deal on Limited's
I was dealing with the largest volume dealer in Washington and still had to wait 4 weeks for the color I wanted.
Was pretty much MSRP (I got a return customer discount on mine)
The Costco discount also was 0 on a Limited.

Get a loaded Sport! Check the wood interior on the Limited, some don't care for it, some do. If you load up a Sport model you get the sport tuned suspension also!

I'll get mine in 2 weeks for $33,300 not including dealer fee ($750) which is $125 over invoice including options. I use CarsDirect to get the invoice costs to compare to. I'm waiting on a Limited 2wd, stereo upgrade, heated seats, rear auto ac, sunroof, tow prep, power door.

My tact to get a good price on new cars is to email/call the local dealers and negotiate using the CrasDirect price. It worked well this time.

We paid just under MSRP ($34K and some change) for ours after aftermarket heated seats (on cloth seats - perfect), an aftermarket Homelink auto-dimming mirror, $699 dealer processing fees (dealership gives oil changes for life, so it balanced out), extended warranty (7/70), taxes (3% in VA), and the interior/exterior coatings packages. Add up all of the extras, and I think we got it for about 3K under MSRP (which, if I remember correctly, was about $800 over invoice?). I fought 'em hard!

summer...did you even try to bargain?

We went to the dealer (toyota of Slidell) and asked for a blizzard pearl. They only found one and were asking 40K for it MSRP. W/ 2500 extra for nav, we decided against navi. So there was a Blizzard w/out nav and had rear ac, powerliftgate, and upgraded sound. They gave us 35,400 for it. We proposed 33,000 for it and walked out. They'll give us a call tomorrow. keep in mind they are giving us 6500 for our fully loaded Sienna XLE (02).

Anybody purchase a aftermarket unit for their Highlander yet??

Yeap. I got a repeat customer discount of $1000 and high trade in.
Probably gets to supply and demand. The Limited's are in short supply here and the do not last on the lot more than a day or two. You can get Sports and Base HL's and negotiate better deals

The real odoreous part is in my area you get to pay 9.2% sales tax on vehicle cost minus trade-in value.
No trade on a $38,000 vehicle adds another $3496 to the total price..

Are the one's you are looking at front wheel drive or all wheel drive??
Most of them out here are AWD

We live down south near New Orleans so they are mostly Front wheel drives and the salesmaen said there is a "small market" for the highlander here....we are waiting on a call to get our Blizzard Pearl Limited with upgraded sound rear auto ctrls, power trunk, and heated seats. It was the only white on the lot. Apparently our dealer does a lot of trading, the two we looked at were both trades.
