Hello . I believe it was that light that came on when our /08 highlander had approx 24000 km on it. I contacted our dealer and they had it towed there. They replaced an oxygen sensor and problem solved. Turned out we probably could have drove it there, but they did`nt want to risk damaging something, since we are leasing it from them. I would recommend calling your dealer for advise.

It could be something simple. Mine comes on if I have low washer fluid or if there is a door open. Check your glass hatch (if equipped). Also, if you have the multifunction display the problem usually displays on the screen.

Also, sparkyca do you know if the Highlanders have an O2 sensor problem? I've got close to 20000 KM on mine now and the go ahead with the O2 sensor in my last Highander was unbelievable!

Not saying you guys did this, but instead I'm throwing it out to other owners. If you get an exclamation mark warning make sure to verify which one it is: Inside a triangle it's the master warning light; if it's inside a cross-sectional tire it's for the TPMS system; and if it's next to a steering wheel it's for the electronically-controlled steering system.

The light in the middle top portion of the instrument cluster is the general warning light indicating things such as open moonroof, open door, open glass hatch, low washer fluid..

This light indicates low tire pressure, or in my case no tire pressure sensors at all.

I know some cars have an indicator light that will come on if you have a burnt out light. I have never had a burnt out head/tail light (knock on wood) so I don't know what light would illuminate (if any) in this case. Maybe you should check your tail lights?

I havent heard of the oxy sensor being an issue. Thanks to all for the responses here. I ve also experienced the low tire pressure warning and finally figured out that the spare tire was low, and filling it up made that go away.

Sorry to go off topic, but I have a question for you regarding your TPMS light. Is there a constant display on the MFD as well, or is this the only indicator for this?
