New Highlander Limited owner!

Just brought home a 2012 Highlander Limited! Very Exited. Got the Blizzard Pearl with Black interior, FWD, NAV and the regular options I guess. Side Molding, Mud Flaps, Cross Bars, Paint protection, glass breakage and so on. Anyway, I am anxious to hear what all of you have to say, hopefully all good! Any advice or heads up is appreciated. Love the color combo. Thanks.
Cheers

Congrats on the new ride! First thing I did to mine was tinted windows and bought the extended warranty which can be found here:

Bought mine through Jerry Johnson, great and easy to deal with. Check out the FAQs and common issues and maintenance section.

Won't be worrying about a extended warranty for the next three years. Any reason I should buy one prior to manufactures warranty being up? Just curious as to why anyone would buy prior? It is available until then, am I wrong about that? THX

I personally don't believe in extended warranties on well built cars. Of course, you will get opinions in favor of them.

Two reasons that I can think of:

1 - Price might go up by then and,

2 - I believe the extended warranty includes car rental if yours is laid up for a few days. Not sure that Toyota/dealer would provide that without the extended warranty even if the repair is covered under the normal warranty.

Regarding item 2, when I had my '02 HL in for service the dealership was really busy that day and they got me a rental for the day. Don't know if that was because of the extended warranty I had on the '02 or just a good will thing from the dealer. Either way it worked out for me and is one of the reasons I'm still using that dealer today.

+1 even for next 5 years, unless you were buying a ford or chevy
